My story
Who am I
My name is Loren Ramsay, owner of The Lash & Bronze Bar.
As a passionate lash enthusiast with over 6 years of experience, I've built The Lash & Bronze Bar into a thriving five-figure business with a loyal clientele of over 1,000. My journey has allowed me to achieve financial freedom, support my family, and live my dreams.
My journey to lash expertise
I first started in the beauty industry at 19 years old, attending Bangor's South Eastern Regional College to study beauty therapy level 2. During this time, I had lost my job, my home, and a lot more, which caused mental health struggles, all while I was pregnant and had no idea what I was going to do next.
Beauty therapy helped me focus on myself while learning new skills and making friends. Within level 2, I found my love for eyelashes and really wanted to do a private lash course. I began researching and saving up to make it happen.
I then went on maternity leave and had my son in February 2019. A month later, I attended the lash course that kickstarted my career.
After completing the course, I set up my little lash room in my old bedroom at my mum's house. I spent all my free time practicing until I perfected the craft. My first ever set took me 6 hours, and they weren't even full! Crazy, right?
Six-figure business
Over the summer, I worked like crazy, offering free lashes at first to get used to working on real people rather than a doll head. Then, I gradually increased my prices as I built my clientele. I completed level 3 a year later and left my tech job to focus on my ever-growing business.
I reinvested the money I earned back into myself and the business, booking a masterclass course in England to expand my skills and knowledge. I saw a gap in the market for thick, fluffy, and beautiful lashes. After completing the course and returning home, excited to implement my new skills, business really took off. Clients were flowing in, and so was the money.
Since then, I've grown into a six-figure business owner, operating as a lash artist, educator, and supplier of my own product line. I host my own events and online courses, and most importantly, I'm building a community to support people on their journey to achieving similar success.
